Arrowhead Industries Corporation has received a U.S. Patent -- #6,079,160 for their "lanced stagger with connector" core metal design. The company specializes in the manufacture of core metal inserts for weatherseals and the slitting of light gauge strip steel, primarily used for the automotive marketplace.

     The new patented design combines the features of a compressible Arrowflex style carrier with those of an offset single track carrier. This hybrid core metal design provides extrusion designers with significant performance benefits, including:

Ability to locate the neutral axis of the extrusion anywhere within the cross section by moving the connector of the core metal. Achieving high tensile strength, thereby eliminating line breaks.      Two Cleveland, Ohio Arrowhead Industries facilities serve both North and South America, while joint venture operations in England and France service all European customers.
