- Coined Area: The area of the product that is thinner than the rest of the product (occurs only in the lance and stretch process).
- Coin Width: The distance from the left edge of the coined area to right edge of that coined area.
- Coin Span: The distance from then center of one coined area to the center of another coined area.
- Coin Thickness: The distance between the upper and lower surfaces of the coined area.
- Connector: A non-continuous vertical section of the product that holds the product together. (Synonyms: backbone, spine, track, etc.)
- Connector Location: The distance from the left outside edge of the product to the center of the connector.
- Connector Span: The distance from then center of one connector to the center of another connector.

- Tine: The horizontal portions of the product that are separated by gaps and extend from a track a or connector to an outside edge of the product. (Synonyms: pick, sprage, tooth)
- Tine Width: The distance from the top of a tine to the bottom of that tine.
- Track: A continuous vertical section of the product that holds the product together. (Synonyms: backbone, spine, connector)
- Track Location: The distance from the left outside edge of the product to the center of the track.
- Track Span: The distance from the center of one track to the center of another track.
- Track Width: The shortest distance from the left edge of a track to right edge of that track.
- Thickness: The distance between the upper and lower surfaces of the product. (Synonyms: gauge)
- Web: An interior “hole” in the product that is stamped out or cut and stretched out. (Synonyms: inside gap, opening, gap)
- Web Length: The longest distance from the left edge of a web to the right edge of that web.
- Width: The distance from the left outside edge of the product to the right outside edge of the product.
